Created by Tum Wuthipol Uj. (Wuthipol Designs), these zine tutorials introduce a variety of ways to fold a zine from a single sheet of paper, helping you understand how different formats are constructed through hands-on experimentation. The original purpose of the physical Zine Dummy Kit remains the same: to encourage you to work things out for yourself by printing, cutting, folding, and assembling each format by hand. Understanding the construction process is just as important as the finished zine itself.

It includes six playful folding formats, each with a numbered page template to help you visualise the reading sequence. The best way to learn is to print the templates, fold them yourself, and see how each format comes together. By physically assembling the zines, you'll gain a much deeper understanding of their structure than by simply viewing them on a screen.

Think of these templates as a starting point rather than a set of rules. The page order may not suit your own story or artwork, so you're encouraged to adapt, rearrange, and reinterpret the layouts to fit your ideas and visual language. Put your own twist on them and make each format your own. Zine-making is a process of experimentation and discovery. There is rarely a single "correct" way to make one, and often a mistake leads to an unexpected idea or a new format worth exploring.
